Greeting Pop Pickers,

Well, the rain is stopping most things at the moment, except of course, Dark Side of the Moon 50th Anniversary limited reissues. Now I am as big a fan of the album as most people but there must be a limit to the permutations on offer. If you are interested btw just get in touch.

In the meantime, it is a mere 12 weeks to Record Store Day 2024. It falls on Saturday 20th April. Leeds United had a record 13 consecutive away FA Cup draws; so, we are hoping for a 13th consecutive rain-free RSD. The usual rules apply as always. We don’t know what’s on the list yet other than a really interesting rework of Ziggy Stardust with unreleased stuff and other goodies. John reckons it looks good; the only issue is how many we can get and how much. Announced on the Bowie website and not technically official until announced on by the RSD website. I would be prepared to bet however….

Eddie tried to do an update on the Vinyl Eddie website but ‘it proved to abortive’. We will sort it. It is “under construction”. Just like Tadcaster Road. Hopefully it won’t take over a year to reform. Just need a computer geek to help us out!

Seriously though, whatever help we can get when the list is out in terms of preferences will assist us in directing our spend to best effect. As we say every year, we know some of these exclusives aren’t cheap and we can’t send ‘em back, so it is a one shot show. Bit like Russian Roulette. It is fun however, and we will sort live music to help with the ambience.
